HOW
TO MAKE
DELICIOUS 
PIZZA AT HOME

STEP 1 - THE PIZZA DOUGH

350 grams/0.77 lb of white flour type "00"
This amount of flour is calculated for a standard
baking pan 40cm x 33cm/  16 in x 13 in

Add a small spoon of salt into your flour

Take a cube of brewer's yeast . In absence
of it you can do it with baking powder

Put 15 g/ 0.5 oz of your brewer's yeast, or baking
powder (read the indications on the pack), into
a small bowl with – 1.5 dl/ 0.31 pt (US) - 
of middle-hot water and helps it melt using
your hands. At the end it must be completely
meleted

Add to your flour with salt something like
4 big spoon of olive oil

Add to your flour the water with brewer's yeast.
Do not put all the water in one. Put more than
the half at first. Then, when you will be doing
the next step, add more, if it is needed, to form
a solid but soft material
how do you make pizza Now, mix up everything with your hands until
it becomes an only material.
This passage could be found a bit difficult
the first time you do it because the flour will
stick on your hands and you have to struggle
a bit to have everything well mixed but
everybody can accomplish it.
This step will take you 3-4 minuts

That's a perfect result! You might not do it
like this the first time you try but it doesn't matter.
The only important thing is that your ingredients
are well mixed up. It's possible that you can't
even put it on your hand like in the picture
because it's too soft but it doesn't matter

Make an X symbol on the pizza with a knife
as shown in the piture below

Cover your pizza with a cover (the warmer the better)
and leave your pizza raise in a place with a costant
temperature (ideal 30-35° C/ 86-95° F) draft free
for 4 to 5 hours

Step 2 – Preparing your Pizza

how do you make pizza In a small bow put 0.5 l/1 pt (US) of tomato sauce and
add a bit or oregano, 4 big spoons of olive oil and
2 and a half little spoon of salt
Cover, using your hands, the surface of the
pan with a bit of olive oil.
That is done to avoid the pizza to stick
on the surface
Now, put your dough on the pan and
build your pizza by puching on the dough
with your hands to cover the whole
pan surface.
Watch out for not breaking the dough

Just make sure that it's more or less
equally thick on all the surface
Take the tomato sauce with oregano you
have just prepared and put it on the pizza
helping you with a big spoon
That's the result
how do you make pizza At this point you could add some
additional ingrediend on your
pizza if you wish. Like ham, tuna,
onion, olives, peppers, champignones,
anchovies, salami, etc.

Now, turn on the oven and wait until
it reaches the maximum temperature.
When the oven is well hot, you can put
your pizza on it.
My oven reaches a temperature of
275°C/ 527°F, so I leave the pizza
on it for approximately 20 min.
The best way to know if the pizza is
ready is by watching at it.
It's ready when it has a brown tempting
colour on the borders (look at the big
pictures at the end of the page if you
need a reference).
Watch out it doesn't tourn burning  black!!!
Depending on the oven, watch out
that it doesn't turn black also the
part that is in contact with the pan
surface

Right after putting it on the oven,
start preparing the mozzarella cheese. 
Cut - 150 g/ 0.33 lb (US) - of mozzarella
cheese in small cubes
how to make pizza You will put it on your pizza 5 minuts before
it is ready, that is to say, after more or less
15 minuts you put it on the oven

Approximately 15 minuts after a 275°C/ 527°F
cooking, your pizza will look like the one in
the picture (if you need it, I put a reference 
bigger picture at the and of the page).
So, you can take the pizza out of the oven
and add the mozzarella cheese you have
just preparred

That's how it should look like after
adding mozzarella.
Just make sure that you distribute
the mozzarella equally on
the pizza and put it back on the
oven for approximately 5 minuts,
the time it takes the mozzarella to
to be melted
Well, that's your pizza margerita
ready to be eaten!!!!!
